The ECE blog is a portal where you can read some of the latest news and interesting/ useful information about the Department of Electronics. It is a channel for the Department to inform and engage ECE students on matters pertaining to its academic programs.  It is also a portal for the Department to make important announcements such as activities, events or programs which have been planned for ECE students. You will be able to learn about the Department’s viewpoint on matters relating to education, research, policies, staff, etc.

Our intention is to share, listen and eventually understand the issues which the ECE student population is facing currently.  Hence the  ECE blog is also a platform where you can drop your thoughtful comments anonymously (if you wish) on issues you wish the Department to address.  Your views are valuable to us for our future plans and proposals.

The aim of ECE blog is to create a discussion on interesting and useful posts. Please keep in mind that ECE works within a highly respectable environment, which means that there are certain topics which we will not be able to discuss here. Comments relating to expletives, personal or political matters will not be posted too.

Friendly and open interaction will be the basis of our approach to make the discussions fruitful. We ask that you respect the following discussion guidelines. Comments will be moderated and any comments falling outside of the discussion guidelines below will not be published.

Discussion Guidelines for Blog Readers

1. The ECE blog aims to be a place for honest, collegial and courteous discussion.

Please try to be respectful of the opinions of all posts and comments on the blog. Everyone is welcome to leave their voice here. Diversity in opinions is valued.

2. Providing your email address when you post a comment is optional.

This blog allows anonymous postings of comments and comments which are posted will not be edited beforehand. However, in the case that you provide your email address, this will not be published. This will only be used to contact you in relation to clarifying your comment if your comment is unclear. We will not use it for any other purposes without your permission.

We may not be able to always respond to all comments or questions, but do be assured that each one will be read. Sometimes it may not be possible for us to publish or respond to your comment immediately but we will try to do so as quickly as possible.

Even though your request or suggestions may not be implemented immediately, we will review and consider them thoroughly. Thereafter we will make appropriate and necessary follow up plans to it.

2. We will strive to write regular interesting and useful content.

We will attempt to think of interesting and useful content to make sure you enjoy your time reading the posts uploaded on the ECE blog because that is the best way to show that we appreciate your time spent on this blog.
